Swimming pools need chlorine because it still is the most efficient and economical way to sanitize pools.
A salt chlorinator is a sodium hypochlorite generating system that manufactures chlorine. The units are manufactured and installed by us (made in SA!) and are designed to handle our harsh South African climate conditions.
When a solution of salt is exposed to an electrical charge the chlorine is released from the salt molecule and becomes available to kill algae and bacteria in the water.
Industrial applications include chlorination of resorts, power station cooling ponds, lagoons, ponds, sewage systems, hotels, etc. and large (industrial) swimming pools. We manufacture and install industrial salt chlorinators for any volume of water from 100 thousand litres (minimum) to 2.5 million litres (olympic size). Larger requests are custom-designed.
By using a salt chlorinator the costs to maintain a healthy and clear pool are drastically minimized.
Our units all contain electrodes: anode (positive) plates and cathode (negative) plates. All our electrodes consist of solid titanium plates coated with precious metal oxides. Each plate is connnected to the other with a solid engineered connector which has a specific torque value to ensure maximum transfer of current.
